Hello Friends! Today I have come up with this awesome recipe of Aaloo, chana and soyabean or soyachunks. This recipe is not only tasty but it is also good in terms of nutrition because it contains chana or black chickpeas and soyachunks. 

Before we begin with the recipe let's discuss how this recipe is full of nutrients.

Kala Chana/Black Chickpeas Nutrition:

Kala chana is a rich source of minerals and vitamins . It also provides decent amount of fiber and protein.The protein and fiber in kala chana may help keep your appetite under control.

Soyachunks Nutrition:


Soya chunks are the cheapest source of protein. They are high in fibre. Soya chunks are also known as a substitute of meat. Soya chunks help your bones to become stronger. They also contain minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and manganese.

Now let's begin with the Recipe of Aaloo, Chana and Soyabean:

The ingredients are as follows:

  • 100 grams of chana 
  • 50 grams of soya chunks 
  • 3 medium sized potatoes
  • 2 onions 
  • 9-10  cloves of garlic 
  • 3-4 green chillies
  • 1 big tomato
  • 5-6 table spoon of mustered oil
  • 2 bay leaves 
  • 1 table spoon of jeera(cumin seeds)
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1.5 tea spoon of haldi powder(turmeric powder)
  • 1.5 tea spoon of red chilly powder 
  • 1 table spoon of (dhaniya and jeera powder)
  • 1 table spoon of meat masala powder

Method of making aaloo, chana and soyabean ki sabji:

First of all soak the chana in water overnight and soak the soyachunks in water for 15-20 minutes.

Now cut the vegetables:
Cut the potatoes in equal sizes, slice the onion (not too thin not too thick), cut the green chillies into big pieces.

Take pressure cooker, heat it, add oil to it.When the oil gets hot, squeeze the soya chunks and put it in the oil and let it fry untill the colour changes on medium to high flame. Now take out the soya chunks.

Now in the same oil (add more oil if required) add bay leaves and jeera to it and let it pop.

Now add green chillies, garlic cloves and onions to it. Stir it nicely. After 1-2 minutes add potatoes. Now let it fry for 2-3 minutes on medium flame.

Now add the soaked chana to it, stir it well. Now add the salt, mix it well.

It's time to add all the spices (haldi poweder, red chilly powder, jeera dhaniya powder, meat masala powder), Mix it well. Now add the tomato, mix it and let it cook for 3-4 minutes on medium flame so that the spices may not burn.

Now add the soya chunks and 3-4 cups of water. Now close the lid and allow this to whistle on medium flame.

After 3 whistles switch off the flame and let it rest. When the air comes out, open the lid of the pressure cooker, stir it well.

Now your aaloo, chana and soyabean ki sabji is ready to eat. Serve it and enjoy it with roti, paratha or rice.
